While achieving an OT by end of Sept QTR as targeted, hinted, suggested, intended or indicated (choose the term that best fits your cognitive state), is a nice to have, IMO it's not a must have.

I am guessing the deal is big and big deals take time to nut out details, particularly if it involves a 5+ years time frame.

However, having strongly indicated the intention to have an OT in place by the end of Sept QTR, if they can't meet that date then I think an update is important.

Something along the lines of "close, but still working it out" would be good. Otherwise, I'd be thinking the deal has fallen over and they are starting work on a new deal.

If the deal has fallen over, I have no doubt they will find a new one that better suits their (and our) requirements. The share price will drop, I'll buy more and in the long run we will be fine.

A progress report would be good.
