Everyone should be expecting that RC220 will be toxic exactly the same way as RC110. Bisantrene is a toxic molecule so RC220 is expected to be toxic - finding this out in the GLP studies is not going to be news, nor is it going to affect its use in patients.
While I don’t expect anything new, the GLP studies still need to be completed. In science there is lots that can go wrong when you do any study that have nothing to do with the drug. Given the shear number of studies that we have to do, all it would take is a technical problem with one of them to slow down the whole program.
If the worst were to happen and one of the 26 studies failed then we would just have to repeat that one failed study, but we are doing everything we can to avoid this from happening. We are about 2/3rd through all the studies and so far, so good.
Everyone should be expecting that RC220 will be toxic exactly...
