@ma420 point 3 this massive derisk / value add in my view. Most likely under appreciated. If we know the MOA it has a better opportunity to win over the FDA, Pharma and industry sceptics. Most importantly provides insight into the MOA which is useful for trial design, what combos may work and breadth of cardioprotection (i.e. drug classes, beyond oncology?)
Who knows perhaps this has driven the MRFF grant research (Doan et al)?
