If you are first into the market then you are, by definition the first in the market and the best in the market ... however ... if you are the furthest developed (or even the first into the market) in a "class" of drugs then you can be FIC without being BIC.

In our case there are other FTO inhibitors but we are best and first in that class because we have been further in the clinic and we're best in that class. There are plenty of competitors but they're not as good.

In CPACS we're FIC, BIC and OinC (pronounced oink!) because in that class there is only one (cue the Queen song).

[As a side note, presbyopia is emerging as a drug-able condition and the FIC drug from Allergan was a dog (so they stopped marketing it), there's now another one about to go to market that's also a bit of a dog, but a company called Visus has the BIC drug but it's gonna be third to market.]
