You are confusing the desire to sell with the way a seller goes about it. If you think a company is overvalued then it is rational to sell, if you sell because you develop a sudden hatred of the colour orange then this is not rational selling. I would not want to buy from a rational insider who is selling, but I would want to buy from an irrational insider who is selling.
