RAC won't know until its accepted by the journal. Even then, they will only have a rough idea on timing, based on that journal's usual timelines to publication.

We hope the paper has been submitted - but maybe not! The science writer was only hired recently (if the hiring was finalised). It takes time to get your head around sciency things, especially at the molecular levels of science.

An Editorial review is generally quick: days to weeks. It just determines things like the journal's fit for the paper.
A peer review follows. That can take time, particularly where the methods described are new. Appropriate reviewers must be found (RAC scientists can certainly recommend names).
Revisions will be quick. Its a RAC internal job.

So, overall, perhaps 3 to 6 months if Fast Tracked, otherwise longer.

I am not holding my breath on this one. I am just treating it as an expected unexpected surprise in the pipeline.

I think the exciting part that the paper will bring is the potential expansion of the utility of Bisantrene. Knowing HOW it works, creates more opportunities of where else it can be used. As well as confirming itself as the right drug for the indication in question (cardio-protection).

    Etc!
