In the USA all the good tech and biotech companies are private until very late in thier growth development due to regulations (the SEC is not fun to deal with). The end result is in the USA all the retail shareholders complain they are locked out of of the companies with the greatest growth potential.
In Australia there really is no private capital to support biotechs. If you force biotechs off the ASX all you will do is kill all Australian biotechs. Maybe you think that is a good thing, but unless we want Australia to just survive keep selling visas and houses to foreigners we are going to create and support some innovative companies.
