    Point 1 (musings of an idiot) -
    If I knew my drug MOA was repeatable using other compounds but proof of concept could be established quickly, I'd hold back as much information as possible as long as possible before having MOA published with an "oh by the way, we're actually trialling this and here is our early indication our drug working."

    Point 2 -
    My thoughts probably apply more to P1b but should also pertain to P1a, but the sales pitch of, once safety is proven, "patients are going to be treated with a known cardiotoxic drug, here's an IV solution that we believe will protect against this CT and potentially kill your cancer better in combination as well" should be an easier sell than the AML trial's "we need to scan you to show you have the cancer strain we believe we can cure".

    Excuse the poor structure but hopefully you pick up what I'm putting down.
