I have indirect experience of this. My mother-in-law was rejected for a different trial testing a melanoma cure. The reason? She only had a Gr. 2 melanoma. The fact she is 90 and the hematologist cannot do any more for her does not mean anything. Very frustrating as she was willing to enter the trial as much for others' benefit as much as her own. Very frustrating!
