On that I agree. The positive from my perspective is that we are offering the patient a treatment that may well work for them - people are cured of cancer every day by doxorubicin. A standard Phase 1 oncology trial where you are the first patient is almost certainly not going to help you as the starting dose will be tiny even if the drug actually works (most don't). While I don't expect every patient in our trial will benefit, there is a pretty decent chance - certainly much better than the alternative option (palliative care).
