Yep, I have seen the process with my wife. It is not simple to be recruited, pass all the tests (certainly in her case), and so on. Its a quick result here imo, but I am a layman and only speak from narrow perosnal experience. i know these patients stand to gain. But they give up much. The testing she was told she would be required to go through during the trial would have been significant. It almost put her off.
Dr T called them heroes, maybe that is a bridge to far for some, but they are risking what little time they have left. Mad respect.
