Houses become postivly geared over time as the mortgage is paid down and the median rental price goes up in the area. For example 250k purchase price in 2014. Deposit of 30k plus payment of stamp duty. Loan was 220k. In 7 years ive paid down 30k on that one and the rental is 360 per week. Loan is like $900 per month and the rent income is $360x4.333 = 1,559.88.
So yeah you can sit down no need to be a smartass.
