I don't think COVID-19 is a climate issue caused by climate change, and is instead just a random freak of nature that (has and) will continue to pop it's head up every now and then when the conditions are right... The initial velocity of the spread however is a factor of our current time and population density.

Population growth is a definite issue, however I can't see a logical solution to it. It would be very difficult to enforce developed nations (Western Countries in particular) to adhere to a population growth metric, and near on impossible to slow the population growth in less developed nations - some where women have had up to five children before age 25. (Interestingly, I believe if we had 1.3 children per adult woman, our species would die out in 300 years of so...)

I think our post COVID-19 world will be different as peoples behaviours towards spending and leveraging will adjust again (post GFC savings increased significantly, however dropped off again over past few years), and I believe the global financial and monetary systems will also be significantly different. When it comes to technological and manufacturing advances, even though different to post WW2, I envision there will be large changes, especially in the Clean Energy section (they are giving Oil away today as they can't store it anywhere). I'd recommend reading some articles from Tony Seba if you have some spare time - you may even find some good investment opportunities after looking into it.

The next few years will be interesting - my suggestion to everyone would be to be prepared for less income, higher taxes and higher interest rates. If you look at what happened post "Golden Age" in the US, I imagine something similar might happen here and globally. (I have had to re-price my future value of RAC based on what the AUD/US may do over the next 36 months. Based on what I think may happen, hopefully they get offered and accept a offer sooner rather than later...)

There is a lot of history that we can look at and reference to help get through the next decade, however unfortunately as a species we don't learn from our past mistakes - we instead repeat them!

    IMO, DYOR, GLTAH, etc
