Not even we know who is buying and selling until 3 days later and often because so much trading is done via nominee accounts we have no idea who is really buying or selling. This afternoon’s mini sell off looks like a professional “tree shake” where someone wanting to accumulate tries to get a retailer panic going by dumping a bunch of shares into the market, waiting for the herd to follow, then coming in to scoop up the cheap shares. I guess we must now be on the radar of the traders.
