Yes, you are correct. I started the smsf process on Sunday and to my surprise, I was issued the ACN for Corporate Trustee and ABN / TFN for my SMSF straight-away. (thanks to @Aqua65 and others for encouraging me to give it a try). Now I am setting up the smsf share trading account with a bank. So by early next week all will be done, including my transfer to smsf (hopefully). I also found out that because my wife is member of smsf, she can contribute $330K as well. Well, that's good for me.
Anyhow, I don't have an accountant yet because I file my own tax returns as they are very simple (only salary and cgt). So will not be able to manage complex transaction you have mentioned. But I am very happy atleast my smsf is up and running (almost). Thanks for your guidance. It is very much appreciated.
