    RAC has been on my watchlist for a while - I've never quite pulled the trigger.

    The thing that is bugging me: with such a massive clinical trial history, would a highly effective drug ever be lost for 25 years?

    One of the articles which comes up on page 1 when Googling 'bistantrene' is this - https://www.epmmagazine.com/pharma-manufacturing-news/why-this-cancer-drug-was-lost-for-25-years/

    These are some of the quotes published in the article:

    “There’s so much clinical history on this drug, it’s been in 1,800 patients and 46 phase II trials in various cancers,” Race Oncology CEO Peter Molloy told European Pharmaceutical Manufacturer.

    “Frankly, when I worked in big pharma, I would have deprioritised [Bisantrene] as well because from big pharma’s perspective it was never going to be a billion-dollar drug,” Molloy states.


    As an aside, I'm not surprised Molloy is no longer around given statements like the above!
