This is a good question. The big traders are not supposed to have access to this information, but as you say ComSec and the other brokers have access to this information. It is not hard to imagine that this information leaks.
Even if it doesn’t leak it is not too hard to just dump enough shares in an illiquid stock like RAC to trigger various stop losses. If you are going to invest in an illiquid stock you need to accept that you can get some pretty large price movements on not much volume or reason (today is a good example) and make sure you are happy to live with the ups and downs.
