if this is the start of the long-anticipated global selloff, the timing of the RAC SPP couldn't have been timed more perfectly!
How awful it would have been to head into a meltdown with essentially no money in the bank.
If the SPP has successfully raised all the $30m wished for, then RAC can do all the things it wants to do for the next many months, without any concern about what global stock market is doing.
Imagine the opposite scenario: a global meltdown happens, liquidity and appetite for capital raising completely dries up, and RAC has to put all its research plans on hold indefinitely.
The only downside to raising money “just in time” is what if when the time comes to raise money, the general market has no stomach for coughing up the money!
Two entirely different universes, and I am so glad to be living in the one with money in the bank!

There again, maybe the global markets aren’t about to melt down! (sure looks shaky at the moment, though!)
