Partnering with multiple companies does have many positive advantages, not least competitive tension between the partners. If we are taken over the most the shareholders will get will be some premium over the current SP (say 50%-100%). If we enter a bidding war then the sky is the limit.
My 2 cents: You can move from partnership(s) to buyout, but you can't move from buyout to partnership(s).
