The FDA recently approved Reblozyl.
Reblozyl reduced blood transfusion requirements by 33% in ~20% of patients, and by 50% in ~8%. A typical dose of Reblozyl consists of 1 mg of the drug for a kilogram of the patient's weight. A 75 mg vial of Reblozyl will be available at a wholesale acquisition cost of US$10,323.53 per vial. Dosing is every three weeks. This cost does not include hospital markup or admin fee.
