For investors like me who are looking for a retirement from the rat race the preferences would be as follows (in the order of preference) assuming we get to vote on it:
1. Blockbuster deal plus shares of the acquirer
2. Blockbuster deal
3. Upfront payment (at least $20) plus recurring divvies
4. If only recurring divvies then $5+
(assuming fully franked dividends)
I am sure there can be other arrangements but this what comes to mind as my preferences. Let’s see what DCB & BOD pull off both in the ST & LT.
