There was a news article on channel 9 tonight (link below, replace $ with 9) where the Monash University has discovered that beta-blockers - commonly prescribed to treat high blood pressure, is able to significantly enhance the effect of chemotherapy treatment in patients.
They claim that the beta-blockers slow the spread of cancer and stopped cancer from coming back after treatment.
The doctor from the Uni claims that they know beta-blockers are safe and widely available.

Should this prove to be effective in its treatment of breast cancer, this is likely to have a negative impact on the value of Zantrene.
Is my assumption correct or is there more to this?
Not sure if there are any side affects to the heart by taking this medication.
