Apologies- the clock beat me in editing the post .
I think my meaning is apparent .
When Bisantrene is finally in trials -
Could Bisantrene be requested, on compassionate grounds ? In the US , in Texas ? and elsewhere ? other than Australia.
Can Bisantrene be provided compassionately by Race ? - also for acute refractory / relapsed myeloid leukaemia or other leukaemias ?
As the video clip outlines - the survival chances for older or elderly patients are less than 12 mths survival , after standard of care treatments ; and Azacitadine has only 20% efficacy , as in only 20% complete remission rates !
If people were to do their own research , and learn that it maybe be that Bisantrene had come back into clinics , with its known efficacy and relative safety, in the past specifically for R/R AML , and that it was in trials already for MRD now with AML .. possibly also at the same Oncology research and treatment centre , .., and they could learn of the past over 40 clinical trials , & that safety and optimal dose is known and even children are still alive and in middle age and of people who were survivors back then .. and the high complete remission rates for a spectrum of ‘no- hope otherwise ‘ cancer types historically.
Surely - could individual patients with truly no hope under current treatments , being relatively futile to even undergo current standard treatment with Azacitadine or the added load on their bodies and risks maybe of combo approved trial - and they already have compromised health and in older years—
**through their doctors could they ask for and be given , please , Bisantrene ?
( through Race Oncology compassionate use arrangement)
The dots to join are so obvious and exciting for Bisantrene potential treatment here—
*Bisantrene is manufactured over there ,
*and there is quantity available .
** Prof Borj Andersson , is Race Oncology’s Head of clinical research and overall research advisor ( and will know how the Israel R/R AML trial is progressing?) - he is senior research oncologist also at MD Anderson . Inventor himself and pioneer in AML survival success rates with treatments particularly for survival post Stem cell transplantation.
**He is excited to be bringing Bisantrene back as a very useful and needed Oncology drug .
And -
*** Borj himself was involved with using Bisantrene, personally as physician - back in the 90s .
He has already been involved with giving Bisantrene to patients with AML -acute Relapsed cases or refractory patients, who had no other real treatment options available ; and also other cancer patients who were direly ill and had exceeded their maximum chemotherapy dose totals already ! He has seen people survive and Bisantrene’s very high efficacy first hand back then ~ 45% complete remission rates .
