Agree. People buy investment property and don’t have an issue holding that for years without a thought of selling it yet people get itchy feet a after a year or 2 of holding a stock. If it wasn’t so easy to see the price fluctuations on the stock market we would be much better suited in holding. I keep reminding myself this when I get frustrated with the sp of a stock. I’ve had an investment property since 2019 and I have never once checked it’s ‘price’. I only got told what it was recently when we used the equity to buy another 1. Having that mindset of comparing the 2 has definitely helped me during the market downturn of the past 2 years.
