Great question @good1234 drug pricing seems like it would be simple, if I can give some reading that helped me a little.

Keys are a number of factors that would see R220 priced multiples higher than original central line formula. Triangle report delved into the pharmacoeconomics (delve into this word/world as a start) with why & how Bisantrene could be priced.

Remember the extremely high cost of healthcare in the USA, where a car accident can bankrupt someone.

The graph below is often used in terms of drug pricing. While a new drug may be more expensive the payers (insurance companies & patients) will be willing to pay more if the drug is a. more effective & B. Improves Quality Adjusted Life Years (QALYs).

For R220 we are looking at:

• Better improved formula, quality.
• Easier method of delivery. Costs hospitals/insurance & patients less than central line.
• MOD leads to better patient quality of life. Less risk of infections & follow up hospital visits.
• Less side effects such as damage to veins/arteries (reason others delivered as central line?)

Below is slightly off the topic of actual pricing, but a rabbit hole worth exploring.
