Forget VM... It's not the game... it's a smaller game within THE game....
THE game is to move Telcos to the cloud as quickly as possible...
migrating to cloud is hella costly
telcos are not going to move quick
they are going to move gradual
imo the play is to migrate voice (vm) first
get the Telco used to migration
and update an EOL platform ie showcase the spanky new virtualized/cloud platform....
NOR are tagging along for the ride as Micro/Meta cloudify their Telco customers networks... ie we are on their timeline hence no new customers for 2 years...
PS I agree with your last point but it's up to the specific telco and from their view I can understand why they wouldn't.... I do note if they wish to only NOR (ie no other company) could currently grant that wish...
