So Metaswitch already have a hosted PBX that includes VisualVoicemail, I imagine, being a PBX this is only for desk phones only.

I imagine, that NOR dropping Metaswitch to the ASX when queried may have been for a mobile Visual Voicemail solution to complete their offerings. Likely conversations were had.

Given the time elapsed it was either no good, or they didn't want to take a risk on NOR given their financial situation.
