I think for simple things this kind of tech is great. I'd be interested to see what it booked for that trip to the UK compared to what I could book by doing it myself. I'd be amazed if it could do it as cheaply or as well as me. Also I wonder how it deals with curve balls, like confirmations being sent to your phone for accessing websites (2FA) and credit card redirects for verification etc.
The outher thing that struck me was the R1 is basically a replica of your phone. It's a box with a screen, camera, buttons, voice and keyboard interface. Why can't I just install R1 on my phone?
Obviously they'd have thought of that and there are reasons why you can't.
But you have to admit the ai tech is amazing, gee it's come along quickly.
