Unlisted doesn't mean the company still doesn't exist in some zombie like form which prevents it being written off for GCT purposes.
You either need some form of liquidation/dissolution certification by the company itself or from a receiver or liquidator.
There are some services that will 'buy' the shares from you for a fee so you can then claim it as a CGT loss.
