Just my 2 bits worth. All these politicians that make the decisions only think about the here and now of their cushy lifestyles. They can afford the higher gas price and they are too wealthy to feel it bite. If they just stay in power for a little longer, they can retire and still not worry about costs for the duration of their remaining life. Once they are gone it is no longer their problem. They only care for themselves in the here and now. and care nothing for anyone else. Their greed and self-centeredness dictates what they do. They don't physically get anyone belting down their door upset or angry over the selfish decisions they make. And for the odd few that do, these politicians just have the "disgruntled" taken away. So long as their loungeroom is warm and cosy till they die, they don't give a rats about anyone else. Unless Andrews drops dead suddenly and gets replaced by someone with a brain, nothing will change.
