Might be the shorts are covering - new shorts up to 2nd jan was +75k, they'vd had a stellar run over the last 2 years, so would make sense if they are taking some off the table. Record shorts were north of 2 million.
The larger clips on the sell side def looked more like retail stopping given the lumps of selling.
News coming that projects are stopping in both Australia and Indonesia so the projected surplus over the next 12-24months may not be as large as expected, so 2024 shaping up to be very interesting for the nickel and cobalt industry....lots of competing forces at play.
Could be one of the greatest buys of all time, or an absolute dead rubber....will be taking a couple more licks as it goes lower as i think the US funds this for the scandium and for an onshore refiner for Nickel and Cobalt thats fully IRA compliant
