The closures of western miners are inevitable whether or not china intended it. Maybe they are killing competition or disrupting supply chain for west. But they themselves are not being profitable now because they flooded the market with cheap dirty nickel. They plan to produce less to bring back nickel price to profitable levels. Maybe it will take at least 2 years before we see some light again. But this is just my optimistic guess.
China is now planning to bring whole ev manufacturing to mexico so they can infiltrate US market. I hope US does something to prevent it.
