Correct, domestically, Qinghai is China’s most abundant with brine.
High in impurities, especially magnesium. The Chinese are desperate to unlock their massive reserves but don’t have a proven chemical solution to viably crack the code.
If you go back a few years, they tried to takeover Argosy with some juicy carrots that ended up with AGY being $900k richer and a huge lesson for management. Thankfully we got through it unscathed and much more knowledgeable.
