Interesting conjecture about the 10k plant. I'm sure AGY and Puna will work out what's the best setup based on recent experience with the 2k plant.
As a generalisation, there could be a 10k plant and have critical equipment spared so a breakdown does not bring the whole plant down. And it could be that there's five times as much equipment to breakdown and maintain for 5 x 2k. There are likely plenty of technical, economic and practical reasons that go into a decision about the design so I'll wait for the company to evaluate choose the best option.
