From experience I can tell ya there will always be 'unknown unknowns' when starting with a new operation, whether that is due to corrosion or UV, I don't know. But for instance one cannot completely dissect all procured equipment to see if all the parts work in the local circumstances. You just go ahead, follow instructions, do scheduled maintenance as per manufacturer, and if there is more wear due to local conditions you fix it.
