Yep, a few weeks of being 3 years since it was 1st lodged.... Up there with ridiculous.
If it took 12-18months then we'd be in a different position now I think (If partner trusted in the process- but fomo probably would have seen an agreement in the circumstances?). Given we probably would have had offtake and finance sorted in peak spot pricing and at minimun the ponds probably would be done by now and full. Some work would have been fine on the 10k build, although the 20000tpa would be in same stage..
Maybe its a blessing in disguise as the issues getting ironed out with 2000tpa will allow better design for 10000kpa & less hold ups with its commissioning..
Imagine being a mining secutary and signing off on no permits for 3 years and still keeping your job? Is it the company's applying not meeting the requirements or the signing Authority not being competent? Seemingly the later? I guess we'll never get to know.
Painfull though for the long holders.
