I always wondered why they never made use of the 500tpa pilot plant to produce lithium carbonate, especially over the last 12-18 months when LC prices easily exceeded AUD$50,000 per tonne. Just a 100 tonnes at AUD$50,000 is AUD$5 million. It could have provided them with some healthy cashflow. Even now with the 2,000tpa plant bogged down the cashflow from the pilot plant could reduce the need for a capital raising which is starting to look likely sometime next year. In fact, they never mention the pilot plant anymore. Was it really an industrial scale plant capable of producing 500 tonnes per annum? The same people have designed the 2,000tpa plant.
