You are in love with this company, and that is why people shouldn't listen to what you have to say, you couldn't be objective if you tried.
With relation to "Promises", in general people are employed and agreements are formed based on the promise that the work can get done. The only time that isn't so much the case is when you have people who are learning on the job - like apprentices.
Jerko has built a company of apprentices, where the job may eventually get done, but at what cost?
