Graphite can be replaced with Silicon apparently, also graphite can be synthetically produced.
There is some talk about Sodium Ion batteries to potentially replace Lithium but I don't see it happening any time soon. This guy provides a comprehensive overview of Lithium supply and demand but it is 2 hours, still I found worth the watch:
