That's right Gcar, markets can most certainly be "forward looking" for sure!

I do think in general the sense of expectation with lithium pricing though is
"oooh this lithium pricing slump is hurting profits, expansions are starting to be rolled back, and new producers especially are starting to hurt -- that must mean lithium price must come back right now! or "imminently")

but the reality is, as soon as that point "hits" is when things are just getting starting and the supply / demand is only starting to resolve itself, and not at the stage of complete resolution leading to rising prices again.

For instance, let take the last bear zone, this is how long it took, and look where we are now.



in my opinion there is currently a complete ignorance of this fact at the moment.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but have my expectations set extremely low.
