This is all clearly a reflection of your own naive beliefs and flawed understanding of the intent and capability of the pilot plant. Simple.

You are relying on flawed layperson logic that claims the pilot plant was a failure / "didn't work" simply because:
"all these years later we still don't have a filter which can handle more than....."
and
"They told us the pilot plant had done everything it was supposed to and as we now know, clearly they lied, because if they had got the pilot plant working, they wouldn't be faffing around.."

BTW, I use the term "layperson" exactly for what it means: "a person without professional or specialized knowledge in a particular subject"

FACTS:

What was the purpose of the pilot plant?

The intent of the industrial scale pilot plant was to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proprietary process for BG production, at a suitable scale (using suitably sized/representative equipment and processes) to significantly REDUCE the risk of the next scale operation.

TICK.

It was NEVER planned or claimed that EVERY aspect of the 2kpta plant would be sorted out via the pilot plant work.

It REDUCED the associated risk. It did NOT eliminate it.

It DEMONSTRATED that our process could produce BG product from Rincon Brine, producing and selling dozens of tonnes.

It significantly de-risked the progression to the 2ktpa scale plant.

SIMPLE.


As for "abandoned", "mothballed" and "gave up on it":

We had 20 tonnes of BG carbonate on route to Korea for testing/qualification in Jan 2021.
Weeks later we had funds for the 2ktpa plant build and set out immediately to commence that work.
"Li pricing" at that time was circa $10k/t btw.
You act surprised that they wound up "production" from the pilot plant, as they got stuck into the work to build the 2ktpa plant.
You also naively assume that they could simply have persevered with the pilot plant to eliminate all of the risks of progression to the larger scale operation.

WRT the 2ktpa filtration issues, you have said:

Read the damn announcements. Resolving the issues takes time, and and you equating it not being fixed yet to lying about progress, the efforts of consultants being unsuccessful, there being no resolution in sight, etc. is utter nonsense. Absolutely baseless. It's embarrassing.

Nov 2023:

You interpret this as "no resolution in sight".

Your gross exaggerations and generalisations (about the company's supposed lack of progress and supposed lack of prospects, as well as my posting history btw) are simply misguided and clearly flawed opinion; not supported by the facts.
Continually repeating your assertions doesn't make them facts, regardless of how "popular" they might be.
