Read my post above about the core purpose of the pilot plant and stop carrying on like the fact that they wound it down when the 2ktpa plant started construction is some type of red flag, or that knocking out hundreds upon hundreds of tonnes was somehow its primary intent.
Can you even start to guess what the production costs would have been?
I note, again, that the “li price” was circa $10/kg when they raised capital to build the 2ktpa plant.
Tying up critical resources and selling at minimal/no margin vs all hands on deck for construction of the 2ktpa plant….? Yeah good one.
