I find it amusing yet concerning that someone can keep banging on about a layman’s fantasy narrative that the pilot plant “didn’t work” and that no progress has occurred for years wrt to moving towards commercial production…
Even a blind man and his dog can see that the primary purpose of the pilot plant was to demonstrate a chemical process to make BG from Rincon brine, and that our current plant has indeed demonstrated this same process using “commercial-scale” plant and equipment.
The fact that there is an issue with an upscaled primary filtration circuit, however, apparently reduces everything to “zero progress”. What a ridiculous assertion.
I’ve already posted specific company statements about the intent of the pilot plant, but someone thinks that constant repetition that it “never worked” and was a “failure” etc somehow trumps the facts of the matter.
I also note that they cannot point to ANY company announcement where the company stated that the pilot plant would eliminate all of the risks of scaling to the 2ktpa plant - in fact, they have actually specifically stated the contrary, noting that it significantly REDUCES the risks.
Don’t be fooled by what appears to be a “civil discussion”, when the other’s statements and claims are NOT based in fact and reasonable assessment.
One only has to ask someone with specific expertise and experience about the progression of a process/plant from piloting to commercial scale in order to understand there are essentially always inherent risks that simply cannot be eliminated, and in this specific case, to recognise that the pilot plant also had various limitations (including its physical location dyor) that restricted its ability to iron out ALL bugs related to continuous throughout and production.
We encountered a filtration issue that has been an arguably lengthy process to diagnose and resolve. It is what it is. Simple.
I just can’t believe the relentless pushing of such an exaggerated and pessimistic narrative, that is based on a fundamentally flawed notion that simply because the plant isn’t humming along yet, then there has been NO progress wrt filtration circuit rectification, the filtration consultants “failed” etc etc.
Imo these gross exaggerations are either:
1/ a cognitive bias that’s being used to justify his decision to sell out, at a loss, near multi-year lows
2/ an attempt to seed FUD among holders (and encourage selling) as he tries to trade pips to recover losses;
3/ pure sour grapes that a multi-year “investment” has shrunk his capital
4/ some combination of the above
Imo everyone should indeed read all the announcements relating to the pilot plant, and understand what its core purpose and limitations were, rather than be fooled by a disgruntled holder-turned-trader who is relentlessly pushing a narrative that is not supported by the facts.

My mate Bazza was supposed to be here 3 hours ago. There was a big accident on the highway, and no alternative route.
He’s called me 4 times to update:
1/ road closed to allow helicopter landing for evac and police investigation
2/ chopper left, firies clearing wreckage etc
3/ one lane open, traffic crawling through, still lengthy queues
4/ approaching accident zone, should be past the bottleneck soon and back on track
…is Bazza a LIAR because he is later than expected?
…has Bazza made ZERO progress on his journey here, simply because he’s still not here, or not yet in the clear traffic zone?
…has the risk of Bazza “not turning up at all” actually INCREASED, with every hour that has passed?
