Firstly, it is factually incorrect; it is AGY’s partners in the JV who will have their interest in the PUNA MINING JV reduced.
Puna Mining doesn’t “lose” anything.
How do some people still not know what they are (apparently) invested in…? WOW.

Now, what does that mean?

It means that the ownership of Puna Mining by Alurralde and Menendez - who are AGY’s partners in the JV - will “reduce” upon the planned expansion, so they will move from owning 22.5% of Puna Mining (currently) to owning 10% of Puna Mining with its expanded (+10ktpa) operation.

22.5% of 2ktpa capacity = 450tpa “equivalent”

10% of 12ktpa capacity = 1,200tpa “equivalent”

As far as AGY is concerned:

77.5% of 2ktpa capacity = 1,550tpa “equivalent”

90% of 12ktpa capacity = 10,800tpa “equivalent”

Imo IF someone is suggesting or even vaguely implying that anyone involved in this JV has any motivation NOT to succeed and grow this company as rapidly as possible, they are sorely misguided or desperately inventing BS to seed FUD.

Get the basics right and recognise that it is absolutely in the interests of those managing/operating Puna Mining, as well as those managjng/operating AGY - and its shareholders of course - that we get the 2ktpa plant humming and the expansion underway as rapidly as possble.
Nonsense layman’s armchair chatter about egos getting in the way of progress etc are laughable imo.
Major stakeholders are clearly highly motivated to get to +10ktpa, and IF someone suggests or implies they “need to focus”, “need to crack the whip”, etc etc etc then afaict you should carefully ponder their motivation for making such claims/comments. There is huge wealth at stake for the JV partners, in particular.

eg. $5k/t net profit from +10ktpa = +$5M pa for Alurralde & Menendez.

Yeah, they are fumbling around with their egos in the way, unnecessarily slowing down progress etc… or they are milking salaries with subpar commitment and effort…LOL

Peak FUD = peak opportunity.
Beware the noise and understand what you are invested in.
