Morecash, Give me your take on this. There has been a pattern here for years with an unorthodox progression to production. I’ll try to start more recently.
500t plant commissioned. This proved that we could produce high grade Lithium Carbonate.
This plant was abandoned and we moved to the 2000 tpa plant in line with record prices for the magic white powder and the SP spiked to 80c. It proved we could produce high grade. 20t sold to Korea.
Lots of hiccups along the way with filter cloths and whatever else was under designed,
Management has pulled the pin on the 2000 tpa plant because of the prices and the fact it didn’t work to capacity. Perhaps too late.
Now we are concentrating on the 10000 plant with all approval in place and an updated resource, plus the knowledge it can be done.
huge investment by RIO and others in brine.
It was a good decision, albeit too late to halt production at the 2000 tpa plant.
I still believe this is a good punt.
