I was actually off a little bit too. My maths, sucks, just nowhere near as bad as @Rotane:

Molecular Weight of Li₂O:

• Lithium (Li) = 6.941 g/mol
• Oxygen (O) = 16.00 g/mol
• Molecular weight of Li₂O = (2 x 6.941) + 16.00 = 29.882 g/mol

Lithium Contribution in Li₂O:

• Mass of lithium in Li₂O = 2 x 6.941 = 13.882 g/mol
• Percentage of lithium in Li₂O = (13.882 / 29.882) x 100 = 46.3517%

Lithium Content in SC6 Spodumene:

• SC6 spodumene has 6% Li₂O
• Lithium content = 6% x 46.3517% = 2.7811%

2.7811% lithium content equates to 27.811 kg of lithium (metal) per tonne of spodumene.
