one form of "tinkering" would be to do trades for tax purposes...instead of trading purposes.
I have been caught out by that one once, where I did the trade just for accounting and it wasn't really the right time to be doing the trade.

But really, "tinkering" refers to unnecessary / unskilled / experimental / casual actions.
And if that is really your approach to trading maybe you have bigger problems.... or you're just being a closet gambler.

I doubt this person were taking these actions at the time thinking he was "tinkering".
Unless he really was bored, felt like he should do something since it's gone all quiet .... hey... kinda like now

No idea where this price is going in the short term.
This can just go up any time for a number of reasons.
Doesn't look like this is going to drop much and probably just trade sideways and slowly down.

I have sold some, waiting to buy back, but have a nice amount of shares I'm not touching any time soon.
Tempting as it is to sell more, not risking it.
