I am looking at an entry. AGY looks compelling. Ostensibly, the only down side is the production numbers 2ktpa, at least to start. This seems awfully low.

However, I note that AGY will be producing lithium carbonate from brine as opposed to lithium hydroxide from spodumene which means that AGY is more accurately described as a chemical company then a miner.

The demand for lithium over the past few years has been driven by EV fever. Due to the demand by EV manufacturers across the board for cathodes with a high nickel concentrate (NCM 811), and that this comes from spodumene hard rock operations, where will the demand for AGY's lithium carbonate come from? Please enlighten me.
