I think you will find the BG lithium production Orecobre were producing was at best 2000kpa and the rest was technical grade. They were very non disclusive of exactly what thei r differential was and the market was influenced on their average price per tonne. This influenced an uneducated market at the time.
The market is now waking up to the difference between technical/industrial grade and battery grade. However I am not convinced the market understands complexity and thus the value of achieving the chemical complexity of producing high quality battery grade let alone battery grade suited to each customers needs
