This is very true and very applicable to me.

I'm a top 20 SH in this company. I'm a normal guy with a normal job and a young family. I care about the environment and sustainable living, and have an interest in technology and innovation.

I had a chance encounter with a very inspiring guy about 10 years ago, where he told me that "fossil fuels are finite, and sooner or later, the world will have to come up with a new energy source that is sustainable and less polluting".... This encounter led me to start researching and quickly discovered EV and became increasingly convinced that we are in the cusp of a once in a generation global wave of decarbonisation and electrification. The more i read, the more i became convinced.... and it is this strength of conviction that led me to keep accumulating over the past 6 years from my first purchase in late 2016 for around 3 cents from memory, to my last purchase 3 weeks ago for 37 cents.

My portfolio on AGY alone is significantly in profit in the order of multiple millions. It is not the money that matters to me. It is that it will allow me to spend time with my wife and kids, and not have to worry about income. I'll continue to work, but i don't have to work anymore.

The lesson i learnt through my own experience is summed beautifully in the sentence
